Treasure Isle Beginners

Getting familiar with your menu – Let’s begin with the Treasure Isle menu. Understanding your menu will help you get the most out of this game.

Zoom In – This tool is what you will use to zoom in closer.

Zoom Out – This tool will zoom you out of your island.

Full Screen – This tool will carry you into full screen where you can get a larger view of your island.

Arrow – This tool is used for many things like harvesting crops, planting crops, and collecting items.

Shovel – This is the tool you will use for digging treasures.

Treasure Chest – When you collect treasures from islands, this is where they will be stored. You will see what treasures you need to find and what treasures you have. You will also see the reward for these treasures you will get once a set is completed.

Map – This is the tool you will use to visit islands and go digging for treasures.

Store – This is what you will use to buy items for your island.

Backpack – This is where your gifts, crops, and gems are stored.

Harvesting crops – When you first begin with Treasure Isle, you will have crops that are ready to be harvested. Harvested crops will be stored in your backpack. The crops will give you energy. How much energy you will get depends on the which crop it is. I will explain more about energy further on in this guide. To harvest your crops, click your arrow tool in the main menu and click the crops that are ready. The crops will then be stored in your backpack and you can plant more.

Planting crops – To plant crops, you will first need to select your arrow tool. Next, click a plot you want to plow and click Plant Fruits. A box will open and you will see the crops you can buy. Click a crop to purchase it. When the box closes, the crop will be planted in the plot you clicked.

Inviting friends – Friends are a huge benefit in this game. Friends help you by sending treasures, energy, gems, and gifts for your own island. You can also visit them daily to collect coins, earn points, and collect gems. So, if you have friends who do not play, you may want to send them in invitation. To do this, click the Invite Friends tab at the top of your screen and when the page reloads, select the friends for whom you want to send the invitation. If they accept you invitation, you’ll see them appear under the My Neighbors tab.

Adding neighbors – Just because you have friends that play the game does not mean they are your Treasure Isle neighbors. You must send them a request to become your neighbor in the game before this can occur. To do this, you will need to click on the My Neighbors tab at the top of the screen. On that page you’ll then need to click the Add as Neighbor button beside the friends you want to send the invite to. If they accept, you will then see them in your neighbors panel.

Removing neighbors – If you have friends in your list that you don’t want anymore, you can easily remove them. All you have to do is click the Add Neighbors tab at the top of your screen and when the page reloads, click on the remove button next to their name.

Friend pop up messages – As you play Treasure Isle, you’ll often see pop up messages asking you to help your friends. A lot of times, these messages will pop up when you are on your island home. Occasionally, you will see them while digging for treasures. If you accept the job, you will be redirected to their island where you can earn coins and experience points.

Moving and selling Treasure Isle items – You have the option of moving and selling all the items on your island. To do this, you will need to select your arrow tool. Then, click an item you want to move or sell. When the menu opens, you will see your moving and selling option. Select the option of your choice. To sell an item, you will see a box open and show you how much you will earn. Then you can continue with the sell or you can cancel out of it. To move an item, you will need to move your mouse to where you want the item and click your mouse to place it.

Treasure Isle rewards – Once you have collected all of the treasures required for a particular island, you will be rewarded. the reward you receive will depend on the island. Some of the rewards include large amounts of coins and large amounts of experience points. You can open your treasure chest at the bottom of your screen to see what each treasure set offers.

Treasure Isle energy – Energy is used for every plot you dig. For a plot of grass you’ll lose 5 energy points and if it’s a tree or flowers, you’ll lose 7 energy points. Once your energy points run out you’ll have to wait until it refills or seek other ways of obtaining energy. When you level up, your energy bar will be completely refilled.

Right side icons – When you are digging for treasure, you will see round icons on the right side of your screen. Below the icons are numbers. Those numbers represent how many treasures you need to find and how many you have already discovered. Clicking on an icon will tell you what you’ve already found and what you need to find to complete the set.

Treasure chest with question mark – On the left side of your screen you may occasionally see a treasure chest with a question mark appear. These are treasures that you have left behind. If you click on this icon a box will pop up where you can see the treasures and accept them.

How do I plow more fields? – When you install Treasure Isle, you will only have to plots you can plant crops in. At this time, you cannot add more plots. You are only allowed to have two. There is talk that the developers will be giving us the option of planting more plots. When this option becomes available, we will update you.

Going shopping in Treasure Isle – Treasure Isle allows you can go shopping for decorations, gems, trees, animals, tools, and more. To access your storefront, click the store tool at the bottom of your game. When the store opens, you can click a category you want to view and start shopping. Simply click the Buy button to make your purchase. Then click your island to place your new item where you want it.

Hey treasure isle gold diggers – want to know how to level up in Daily Fruit Gifters & Raids TI. Once you are out of energy you can’t play the game until it replenishes. If you have a large number of friends gifting you then you will level up much faster. Neighbors also gift items to you that you can use to decorate your island or which you can sell back for extra coins. Be sure to send out fruit and gift neighbors daily so they will return the favor.

Use the gifts your Neighbors send to you to decorate your Island at first. Do not invest all of your money in decorating your Island as you will need it to purchase tools for digging. There are different tools for different digging obstacles. You can also sell the gifts to afford the digging tools if you choose.

Keep an eye on your energy meter when digging. When you are running low on energy dig only in areas of land with no rocks, trees or plants as they cost the least amount of energy to dig at.

Keep an eye on the live feeds. Treasure Isle offers a lot of bonuses and the ability to share them with others. Each time you click on a live feed you will receive 100 coins. You will also be able to ask for items you need to complete collections, gems and power packs via the live feeds.

Purchase dynamite one stick at a time to save money as you won’t need it until you are past level 10 and toward the higher levels.

Visit your Neighbors daily to collect coins and gems. If you are limited on time try to visit neighbors from each gem color so you have a supply of all colors.

Keep fruit planted in your Garden plots at all times. Be sure you can harvest it before the crop withers and dies or you will lose the money you invested. (See Garden Plots below for more information)

TIP - When you start to dig at a new Island go to the Tiki Statue Gates first and give it a Gem to open passage. There is no energy expended for this and you gain 5 XP points for each one you give a gem to. If you are close to leveling up this could get you to the next level faster.

TIP - Keep an eye on the game’s energy meter as you are using fruit from your backpack to fill it up. If you have a total capacity for 110 energy and you are at 108 and need 2 more energy points to fill the meter back up to 110 use fruit that has 1 or 2 points. Do not use a Mango which is 15 points as you will forfeit the 13 points. Basically anything over your maximum limit will be lost.

Each time you use a gem to gain access to a portion of an Island you will gain 5 XP. Keep this in mind when you are trying to level up.

TIP - If you find you are short on Gems and you need say for example, Blue gems look at the bottom of your screen and visit your Neighbors that have blue gems next to their names. Eventually you will find a Neighbor that has a blue gem available for you. This is faster than searching the live feeds but you can also search the live feeds for gems in this situation if you choose.

TIP - Be sure to visit at least ten of your neighbors each day. The first 10 Neighbors you visit will earn you 20 Coins and 5 EXP each which is 200 coins and 50 EXP. Any Neighbor you visit after 10 will earn you 5 Coins and 1 EXP.

TIP - If you are past level 6 and out of energy and you have a comfortable amount of gold coins you may want to consider looking for other Islands you can dig at that have rocks that need to be blasted with Dynamite. Once you reach level 6 you will unlock dynamite for purchase) It does not expend any energy to blow up rocks and you will earn 5 EXP for each time you do it. The dynamite costs 250 coins each so be sure you can afford this without hurting your future game moves.

TIP – Each Tiki Statue has a treasure chest under it which guarantees you will get at least 5, 15, or 50 XP from it depending on the size of the chest you find. (It costs 5 energy to dig) If you can, start digging at these Tiki Statues as this will help you to level up faster.

Keep an eye on the messages that show up after each dig. You will see hints such as “Treasure Very Close” If you are short on energy these messages can help you decide how best to use your last bit of energy.

TIP - When you are digging and running low on energy keep in mind that you could dig up fruit and earn a few more digs. Play until you use up every bit of possible energy. The clock will give you 1 energy point every 5 minutes so you will have a long wait before you can dig at full energy again. The best thing to do is ask your Neighbors to send you energy and work aggressively to get as much energy as possible throughout the day.

Features Coming Soon to Treasure Isle

Watch for Game Updates as Mayan Isles will soon be added to the Game with 8 New Islands to dig and explore.

Two of the Mayan Islands will need to be purchased so save your coins.

Bug Spray is introduced into your Tools and you will be zapping bugs in between digs.

Expect 50 more levels to be added to the game soon.

Gems/Gem Trees/Gems from Live Feeds

Each Player in Treasure Isle is given one Gem Tree on their Home Island. It will either have Orange, Red, Green, Blue, or Purple Gems on it.

The tree yields one Gem every 24 hours for you and your Neighbors can collect from it once a day as well.

You will need the Gems in all different colors to get past certain Tiki Statues in the game.

The Tiki Statue will require 1 to 5 gems for you to pass.

You may find Gems while you are digging and they will move into your inventory in your backpack.

If you see a live feed post offering a free gem be sure to click on it. The more gems you can save up the easier you will progress through the game.

TIP - Look at the bottom of your screen and you can see your neighbors and what kind of gem tree they have on their island. If you need a specific gem color you can make sure to visit those neighbors first.

You can also request gems if you are running low. You will be prompted if your Neighbor’s or your gem tree is empty.

Keep an eye on the live feeds for free gems.

Treasure Chests

As you dig for Treasure you will find Treasure chests at certain spots in the Island.

TIP – Look at the upper right of the game screen and you will see how many treasure chests are buried in the Island you are currently digging at.

There are 3 sizes and values of Treasure Chests:

Small Treasure Chest – 5 XP

Medium Treasure Chest – 15 XP

Large Treasure Chest – 50 XP

Click on a Chest to open in. The item inside will be part of a collection and you will see it in the lower right hand corner of the game screen.

NOTE – If you forget to click on a treasure chest or leave an island before you opened a chest it will move into the chest at the top right with the “?” on it. Click on it to claim all treasure.

Collections/Trading Collections for Reward

As you dig for treasure you will find treasure chests that have collectible items in them. Each Island has 1 to 3 collections for you to complete.

Once you find the 5 items in a collection you can trade it in for a large cash and XP bonus by clicking on “Trade in” when prompted.

Be sure to click on any chests you uncover so you get credit for the item in it.

If you miss a chest click on the gift icon in the upper left of the screen that has a “?” on it. This is where all unclaimed treasure goes.

There are currently 22 Collections but this will increase as the game will have 100 levels soon.

Be sure to see the collections listed above for details about it and check back for updates soon.

Earning coins in Treasure Isle – It seems really easy to earn coins in Treasure Isle, especially when you are digging for treasures. That’s because you are constantly digging up coins. Below you will find a list of way to earn coins in Treasure Isle.

Visiting friends – Visiting and helping your friends daily will earn you 20 coins. That may not sound like much, but if you have a lot of friends, it quickly adds up.

Digging for treasures – You will often be rewarded with coins while digging for treasures.

Clicking on your daily treasure – Clicking on your treasure chest once a day will also earn you coins. This is the chest floating in your water.

Clicking your friends’ daily treasure – Clicking the treasure chest in your friends’ water will also earn you coins. You can click each friends’ chest once per day.

Selling unwanted items – If you have items on your island or in your backpack that you no longer want, you can sell them to earn extra coins.

Selling gems – You can also sell your gems that you do not need. If you have a lot of gems that are the same kind, sell some of them and you will earn a little extra in coins.

Taking surveys – Of course, you’ll always have the option of taking surveys or filling out offers to earn cash. You can find this option on the Add Coins and Cash page.

The primary rule of Facebook games applies.

In Treasure Isle, you will gain success from having as many neighbors as possible. Visiting a neighbor’s island allows you to do a simple chore on it, earning you coins and XP. Neighbor islands typically have a treasure chest floating nearby you can collect for yourself as well. You can only visit a given neighbor once every day, but if you have 100 neighbors, you can visit them all for your free daily coins and XP before you even touch your own island.

Don’t forget about gifts: daily gifting can get you some expensive items for free, and if everyone is sending everyone else gifts, the success of everyone involved will rise faster than a player who is trying to solo. Some items come only through gifting, so be friendly with as many people as you can be!

2

The secondary rule of Facebook games DOES NOT apply.

In most Facebook games, you gain your biggest success by doing short-term actions, augmented by long-term actions that run when you’re away from your computer. In Treasure Isle, this does not apply. All your actions are energy-based, and energy recovers slowly over time. This makes Treasure Isle a great game for those of you who cannot be on Facebook predictably, or simply don’t want to be on Facebook regularly.

On your home island, there are two garden plots where you can plant fruit, similar to how you plant crops in FarmVille. For these two plots, the secondary rule of Facebook games DOES apply. You can plant several types of fruits, and the shorter-term ones have bigger overall payoffs than the longer-term ones. However, the fruits in question exist only to restore your energy more quickly while you’re digging away. Although ultimately having a large amount of fruit will speed your success because you treasure hunt longer, your game and experience will not be adversely affected if you choose not to pursue the fruit growing mechanic.

3

That said, always have fruit on you, and time when you eat.

Normally, energy comes back at one point per five minutes. Seeing as the least stressful plot takes 5 energy points to dig up, you have to wait 25 minutes after draining your energy to do anything.

Eating fruit, however, will speed things up. Fruit immediately restores a set amount of energy. Your backpack holds all the fruit you’ve collected, but it spoils after a few days so you can’t simply sit on a horded amount of fruit. The main strategy here is to work as much as you can, then eat as much fruit as you need to restore your energy and keep on going. Fruit can be grown in two plots on your home island, but most fruit is going to come from friend gifts and through exploration. I personally wouldn’t eat fruit I dug up from sand on some unexplored island, but I guess my avatar isn’t so picky.

You’ll want to time your meal to your XP bar, though. Your energy completely tops off when you level up, so eating your fruit to max out your energy when you level up four seconds later just wastes fruit. Look at your XP bar, and try to figure out how long it will be to level up. Remember that when you dig, finding nothing gives you 1 XP, finding something small like money gives you 3 XP, and finding treasure or cash can give you double-digit XP.

What you should do if you’re close to leveling up is to eat the smallest energy boost you’ve got. For example, say you have raspberries, which restore only 10 energy. If you’re close to leveling when you’ve drained your energy, eat only one raspberry, then dig up two sandy tiles. If you still haven’t leveled, eat only another single raspberry, then try again. Keep going one fruit at a time until you level, then you can operate as normal.

4

Your home island is currently purely aesthetic other than your garden plots and gem tre.

Your home island and everything you can buy for it is purely for cosmetic purposes only and won’t help your treasure explanation. This will probably change in the future (Treasure Isle has only been out a few weeks as of this writing), but just know that for now, your home island is there just as a symbol of everything you have found and dug up.

In fact, coins in Treasure Isle basically serve the same purpose: you spend your coins on island décor and so on for your home island, but it’s mostly to show off your wealth to your neighbors. Strive to be the best!

5

Work with your neighbors when trading gems.

Most islands have a section guarded by an Easter Island-like statue that can only be unlocked by paying a colored gem. Your home island has a gem tree on it that grows a gem every few hours, but that’s the only gem tree you’ll ever get. There are several colors of gems, and which color of gem tree you have is random. Work with your neighbors, maybe even keep a list, so you can quickly gift gems back and forth when you get stuck.

Gifting to your friends – Sending gifts to friends is a great way to encourage them to reciprocate the behavior. Giving energy to each other is one of the best gifts players can give.

Visit your friends daily – When you visit your friends daily you’ll earn gems, coins, and experience points. Thus its in your best interest to visit all of your friends, especially early in the game.

Check your crops – When your crops are ready, you will need to harvest them right away. They will spoil in this game and you will have to start all over if they do.

Limit your postings – The Treasure Isle game asks you to post to your Facebook profile quite a bit. While it’s tempting to brag about your accomplishments you shouldn’t do it too often as it increases the risk of being un-friended.

Wait to buy things – Don’t be so quick to buy Treasure Isle items from the store as most items must be purchased with cash. Currently, you can get a lot of these items through gifts sent by your friends or people posting stuff on their walls. This is particularly helpful early in the game with you don’t have much Treasure Isle money.

Keep an eye on your news feed – When someone posts something on their wall you should be there to take advantage of it. Click on the item they are giving away to grab it and help improve your island.

Dig it! – Go digging for treasures as much as you can. The more you dig, the more Treasure Isle coins, experience points, and treasures you’ll earn.

Never ignore gifts – Gifts, especially fruit and energy, is your best friend in this game. Make it a point to grab these every time they become available so you can stay energized to complete various tasks and achievements.

Harvest your gem tree – Make sure you harvest your gem tree daily so your friends can collect a gem from you.

Ask your friends for fruit – On the left side of your island home, you will see the fruit icon. Place your mouse over it and it will say “Ask friends to send you fruit”. Click that icon and you can post a request for friends to send you fruit that can be used to re-energize.

Reconsider filling out offers – Keep in mind that when you fill out game offers they may ask for your credit card or phone number. Sometimes these companies will charge your credit card or cell phone carrier if you don’t preemptively unsubscribe or discontinue the service.

Swap browsers – If you’re experiencing page loading problems while playing Treasure Isle, changing browsers may help to amend this issue. Google Chrome and Opera are two of the top choices for speedy web browsing.

Add messages to invites – Adding more Treasure Isle friends is paramount while playing this game. When you send out invitations, add a message to let the invitee know why you’re sending them an invitation. A few words like “Treasure Isle” or “Treasure Isle add” will convey your intentions and you’ll likely be more successful at obtaining the add.

Become a fan of Treasure Isle – There are several Treasure Isle fan pages and groups that can help you increase your Treasure Isle friends. Become a fan of these pages and post your profile link so other members can add you: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Treasure-Isle-Fruit-Gifters/113388322034088 , http://www.facebook.com/pages/Raids-Treasure-Isle/109876415712858
